8″ Hoffman Classic Composite Toe
The Hoffman 8″ Composite Toe Classic is the latest in our Mountaineer style lineman boots. The boot features a one piece seamless leather vamp with no stitching to come undone around the foot area. An added rubber rand around the boot protects the upper from abrasion and other wear. A waterproof Sympatec membrane helps keep water while allowing the boot to breath. A solid Vibram sole provides long time wear and a taller heel to accommodate a good gaff fit. Our unique dual shank system provides unsurpassed arch support while climbing and a sturdy nylon midsole offers lateral stability that surpasses other line boots. If you’re a lineman, arborist or cable installers, try a pair of our new Composite Toe Classic’s and you will see why we named this boot the Classic.

Great Boot – Hi I purchased a pair of 8” Hoffman classics wide, and I have to say these are the comfiest work boots I’ve owned. I like how they feel like a hiking boot with good ankle support and lots of grip with the aggressive Vibram sole. Nice to see that they come with a quality insole, not a floppy piece of foam.  I was getting a bit of lace bite on the top of my foot wear the boot folds when I bent forward, but that went away after a week. Thanks for making a quality product!

Great boot for groundwork and climbing – I’ve used my Redwing loggers for climbing and ariat pull ons for walking around in. I can say that these Hoffman classics surpassed the comfort of both other boots for on and off the wood. My ariats needed new insoles for my plantar fasciitis and still didn’t help. They also made me roll my ankles too much. My redwing loggers are also prone to ankle rolls and were only good for climbing in. They were painful to walk in. Once I’ve got the classics, I immediately fell in love. My plantar fasciitis pain went away immediately when I put the boot on. The arch support is fantastic. The insole was perfect and did not need to be replaced. I only needed 2 days to break them in. They were great the first day, but much better on the third. I couldn’t roll my ankle in these if I tried. The ankle support is the best, even in rough terrain.

Thank you! – I bought my Hoffman Classics after Micheal in 2018. Since then I have worn these just at least 4-6 days a week even after taking a administration job with our utility. They are that comfortable. also they are my go to boot when heading to the woods for hunting and hiking. that brings me to why I am leave this review. This past Saturday after hunting and heading back to the truck i stepped in a pine needle covered stump hole about 12″ in diameter and went in to my knee. Obviously i did the most ungraceful face plant you ever did see with my 27# treestand on my back and rifle in hand. Just knew ankle was shot but thanks to the unbelievable support your boots gave my ankle is not even sore and no worse for it. Now knee shoulder and back is another thing but i know if I had been wearing any other boot i own I would probably been in a cast and would have had to have help getting out of the woods that night. So thank you!!! By the way When are you going to build a snake boot for us southeast boys? 16″-17″ with the Explorer footbed and snakeproof cloth and your waterproofing. I will be waiting!!

Thank Mr. Bryan – I’ve had my 8” CT Hoffman classic boots for over a year now and they’ve been my favorite boots so far. I’ve never had a boot last over a year working in substations, these still have lots of life left in them. Today just received a pair of 6” CT Hoffman classics to use as my hot weather boot. Comfy out of the box. Thanks for making a quality boot!

Boots! – These are some of the most comfortable line boots I have ever been in. Although I don’t do a lot of climbing anymore, the climbing I have done is as comfortable as climbing can be. The support and comfort is second to none. I bought the 8 inch style which are a little tall for my liking. When these are about out of life I will go back with the same boot in 6 inch style. You can’t go wrong with these boots.

Best boots I’ve ever owned. – I have tried every boot from thorogood, to red wings, and many more. These Hoffman classics  are by far my favorite. I’m a lineman apprentice and these are my daileys. Amazing for climbing due to double shank, they look awesome and care comfortable right out the box. very stiff boots out the box but that comes with using quality products and being made properly. Would highly recommend. Worth every penny.

Great Boot for a Maine Forester – I’ve had the 8” CCT uninsulated boots over a year, oiled them once when I got them, they’re still waterproof. I’ve tied over 100mi of flagging in them, from rugged mountainous terrain in NH to rugged coastal terrain in Cutler ME. These boots hiked Katahdin and Mt. Washington to name a few. Did some arborist work and hit the boots with my gaffs numerous times. I’ve sat for hours hunting and worn them in the winter with thick socks. They work well with micro spikes and snowshoes. The thick vibram sole keeps out the cold and gets great traction in the woods, although they are pretty slippery on wet debarked logs. These boots have held up to numerous other destructive circumstances like no other pair I’ve owned. Combining their durability with their comfortability and strong support makes them my preferred choice for work and hiking.

Best boot I’ve owned – 2 years and still going on my boots. I do tree work, full time, in all weather, year round. I climb with these using spurs as well as SRS and they have been great. Equally comfortable doing ground work. I even wear them on my days off. Love Love Love these boots.
