We have been asked several times over the years for a 6″ style hunting boot with insulation. Most boot makers start their insulated boots with an 8″ upper. We have listened to your request and now equipped our 6″ Explorer boot with 400 grams of thinsulate insulation. The new 6″ Insulated Explorer has all the great features found in the non-insulated version. Great support, traction and durability, the Insulated 6″ Explorer is the perfect blend of performance in a hiker model build with additional warmth.
The Hoffman’s 8″ Explorer is a no nonsense hunting boot built for the most demanding outdoor enthusiast. With over 50 years of boot making experience and technological advancements being used to design the Explorer, the Hoffman 8″ Explorer was devolved to be the most comfortable and functional hunting boot on the market. A solid one piece vamp made with the finest 2.8 -3.0 mm leather provides excellent ankle support while a solid nylon mid sole adds plenty of lateral stability on uneven terrain. Lightweight and breathable, the Hoffman Explorer is the perfect balance of comfort and performance. Fitting tips: The Explorer series run just a bit small. If you are teetering between 2 sizes, example, 10 is some things and 10 1/2 in others, order the larger size. Made in Italy

Built with heat regulating Windtherm lining and the addition of 400 Grams of thinsulate, our Insulated Explorer will help keep you warm and dry on your late season hunt. We have added Vibram’s most technological, slip resistant sole for sure footed traction and a waterproof Sympatec liner that helps keep you dry all day. For late season hunts, the Insulated Explorer 400 is a great choice.
6”Scout
There is a fine balance to making a lighter weight boot that still offers the quality features needed to perform in the outdoors. With the New Hoffman Scout, we believe we have done just that. The Scout weighs nearly ½ pound lighter than the 6” Explorer. With a more flexible dual density sole with PU inserts that provide enhanced stability, the Scout offers more flex while walking providing you with comfort without sacrificing stability. The Scout is the perfect boot for early season or anytime a less rigid boot is needed.
8” Borah
The 8” Borah boot was designed to offer more flexibility than our traditional Explorer series of hunting boots. With a 4/5 flex rated nylon midsole and a cushioned dual density midsole with PU inserts, the Borah offers an easier flex point while still providing lateral support and comfort. A high quality Vibram traction outsole offers great grip and stability while walking. The Borah also features a contour insole for added comfort and a waterproof Sympa-Tex membrane that is tops in quality and durability. The one-piece leather upper vamp is made with our Amphibious leather that is known for its toughness and longevity. The Borah also features a full rubber rand to help protect the upper and offer extended longevity. Weighing in at 4.2 lbs, the Borah is the perfect boot for early season or anytime a less rigid boot is preferred.
The Hoffman Kodiak is our newest design that combines lightweight, function and durability to this new unique design. The 8” Kodiak features our Armor Coating over the leather in the vamp area that provides extra protection to the upper where most wear occurs. A breathable anti-cut fabric upper helps the boot vent and lessons the weight of the boot. For traction, a Vibram Du Roche outsole is a terrific all around sole for multiple surface types and a dual dentistry midsole helps provide added comfort. . A waterproof breathable membrane helps keep you dry no matter what the weather is doing. A 4- 5mm nylon midsole allows the boot to flex but is still rigid enough to provide adequate stability and support on side hills.
A 10” tall version of the popular Explorer, the Hoffman Hunter provides even more support. Great for late season hunts, the Hunter features a high cuff to provide total protection and support. A full grain Amphibian leather upper, with one piece vamp construction, eliminates most seams. A 5.5 mm nylon mid-sole adds solid support and lateral stability to prevent heel slippage and bite. A reinforced rubber rand guards against abrasion to the leather upper, and a Vibram outsole provides excellent traction and stability. The breathable Sympatex Bootie helps keep you dry and is 100% waterproof and windproof. The hydrophillic memebrane absorbs and expels perspiration out, resulting in total comfort with exceptional stability and performance.
The new 10″ Insulated Hunter boot is now available! This is the warmest of all our mountaineering boots and features a lofty 800 grams of thinsulate. A waterproof Sympatec bootie is added to keep you dry in mothers natures most demanding conditions. The NEW Vibram Bristol sole adds additional contact surface for more grip, and the encapsulated foam in the heel absorbs heel shock for all day comfort. Our new 800 gram Insulated Hunter is ideal for late season hunts in cooler weather.

Hoffman’s 6″ Rhino hiker (Stark) is one of the toughest hikers we have developed. This rugged 6 inch hiker style boot is coated in “stark” material (similar to truck bed lining) making it more cut resistant, adding another level of waterproofing, and extending the overall life of the boot. The one piece vamp design eliminates stitching around the foot area that will prolong the life of the boot and the additional waterproof Sympatec membrane helps to keep you dry.

The NEW long-wearing Vibram Dolent sole features an alpine tread design with high edging stability for optimally precise footing and self-cleaning tread profile. A protective rubber rand is added to this excellent boot to help protect the leather upper from abrasion.
