The German made Meindl boot has a very supportive upper that provides excellent ankle support and stability. A waterproof lining helps insure dryness and a removable insole adds cushion to your every step. A durable Vibram style lug sole provides traction and long time wear. Easy to break in, the 6 Inch Meindl Cruiser Boot is ideal for those looking for a comfortable walking/work boot with a waterproof liner. This boot will meet the F2892-11 standard for EH rating if you need a boot for work also. The best lineman hiking-hunting boot for groundman – A lot of the guys swore by their Kenetrek lineman boots, but I’d say the Meindl plain toe ground boot is just as good if not better overall. Roomy front/toe box but secure heel. I did a short climb with Buckingham gaffs and the Meindls were fine. I’m sure the steel toe version with metal shanks are better for being on your gaffs for a while, but this boot is perfect for ground work, and short or quick climbing.
