6″ Meindl Steel Toe Cascade 2.0
Our newly designed Cascade features a new upper pattern that combines a better fit and performance. The heavy 2.8 mill premium leather adds support and longevity to this boot. A full rubber rand helps protect the upper from . The Cascade 2.0 also features a waterproof Gore-tex membrane to keep you dry no matter what the weather is doing. A padded leather cuff adds additional comfort and a sturdy Vibram outsole provides traction and long wear. Another thing we like in these hardcore safety toe hikers is the DiGAfix® lacing system that snugs the upper around your instep without creating pressure points, plus it locks your heel in place so there’s not friction-and blister-causing hotspots. Each pair of Cascade 2.0 comes with an additional pair of comfort insoles. ASTM F2413-18 EH Rated

Michael Notor –
After only a week of ownership I hold the cascade in very high regard. I will begin by saying they are true to size and accommodate a wider foot with plenty of breathing room left in the toebox. Weather has been nothing but rain lately and I can attest to the boot being waterproof as I have been almost over the boot in water/mud and my foot has stayed dry. I haven’t had the chance to wear these in extreme heat, but I feel like they breathe well for having a goretex liner.
Traction is good in the muck, lacing system is able to be dialed in comfortably & the leather/rand are quality. The comfort is there without being too soft or rigid, my feet don’t get fatigued while wearing them.
As a owner of kenetrek, hoffman, crispi, lowa, thorogood, redwing, twisted x, anderson bean, ariat, chippewa & plenty more not worth mentioning, I can positively say meindl makes a great boot without some of them problems that most of the mentioned boots have. I will update if I find anything changes with my opinion, but based off of my first impression these boots are the real deal.
