Fantastic boot with the great lateral and torsional stiffness due to the shank. I decided to use this boot for my work in construction/roofing for foot/ankle support and was beyond happy with the support these boots gave me. These boots are also great in applications for hunting, hiking and just about every outdoor activity where good tread is needed. The only drawback I noticed was when the soles became wet they were very slippery on flat surfaces such as smooth river bed rock or granite. I beat these boots up for 1 year and noticed the wrapped toe surface began to wear before having to use tuff toe. The only reason I couldn’t continue wearing these boots is because my arches collapsed and were too small. The toe box is large enough and I would recommend you stick with Hoffmans guide to pair down your size by 1/2.
