A solid one piece vamp made with the finest 2.8 mm thick leather provides excellent ankle support while a nylon mid sole adds plenty of lateral stability on uneven terrain. Phillip Hoffman The boots are of high quality, however I think I may have missed my correct size. I should be past any breaking, as we have been hiking the NP's in Utah. I'm sure over 50 miles and am having problems when going downhill. When I get home I will call and possibly order a 1/2 size larger.
